Jazz's spontaneous nature is very appealing to me. I personally believe the label of "Jazz" should be applied to more mediums outside of music. For example, a Jackson Pollack can be considered "visual Jazz", or brewing prison hooch at home is "culinary Jazz".

National Sangria Day

On top of my numerous hobbies, I've been troubleshooting an old Mitsubishi MC-8000 turntable + tape deck combo. Lemme tell ya, this thing is busted. However, I am making smooth progress. I have fixed both the turntable and tonearm mechanisms. I still need to re-belt the tape deck and trace the issues with the sound outputs. I am optimistic I can get this bad boy working soon.

⮪ 001.1.10: The Krypt

要旨 : A personal website representative of my hobbies and to flex my graphic design and front-end web design skills, specifically in CSS3.

Main missions :

☆ Create a sense of branding around the "Krypt", exempli gratia "Kryptonaut" or "Kryptware".
☆ Create a central website for my creative works and musings, especially representative of my skills in graphic arts and web design, eventually include a full Cirriculum Vitae for professional use.
☆ Promote a freer, less corporate, less centralized internet. Especially promote Neocities (et cetera) and Web 1.0 values vice traditional social media.

⮪ 001.1: The Krypt

要旨 : A personal website to use as an alternative to increasingly centralized social media, as well as a playground for web design experimentation.

☆ The Krypt version 1 ( listed as 1.1.1 ) was the first time I had made a website in, well, ever. I started on Neocities and found myself completely at a loss on where to start, so I copy-pasted code from all over the place and ended up with a beautiful hodge-podge mess.

☆ 1.1.2 was a quick revision because I was unsatisfied with the initial aesthetic. Also, at the time I was obsessed with trying to make my own assets and art, so I spent more time on the looks than on, well, actually coding. Honestly kinda proud how my initial site looks, despite the jank.

☆ Version 2 ( listed as 1.1.3 ) was my first foray into a more vaperwave aesthetic. Honestly, I love the way it looks, but I had just learned about floats at the time and it was so painful to get everything to work right that I quickly abandoned it...

☆ Version 2.1.1 and 2.1.2 (listed as 1.1.3.1 and 1.1.3.2, respectively ) are shitty "login" screens that lead to literally nowhere. A recurring theme you may see in my old projects is I have a tendency to care about form over function. Oy vey.

⮪ 001.2: KryptOS

要旨 : Incorporate Web 1.0 aesthetics with pre-millenial desktop OS designs with a dash of enigma to create a unique personal website.

☆ KryptOS3 ( listed as 1.2.3... just don't think about it ) was my first foray into this idea I had where I wanted a pure CSS faux-desktop experience. I'm actually quite proud of how it turned out, but the markup is an absolute mess, haha.

☆ KryptOS4 ( 1.2.4 ) was nothing more than an aesthetic refresh, really.

☆ KryptOS5 ( 1.2.5 ) and 5.1 ( 1.2.5.1 ) was made during an era when "laincore" was at its peak, and I wanted to fenagle my own thang. Not very functional but buy does it look pretty.

☆ KryptOS6 ( 1.2.6 ) was a failed attempt at streamlining by desktop aesthetic. God it is so fuckin ugly I can't even.

☆ KryptOS7 ( 1.2.7 ) and KryptOS8 ( 1.2.8 ) are simply CSS experiments, 8 especially so. I am rather proud of kinda nailing the calculator aesthetic in 8, to be honest.
